quick struts September 30, 2009 wearever I ordered these rear struts for my car.I consider these a great way to deal with stut problems.Once you install new stuts make sure a wheel alignment is performed.Be prepared to have too deal with rusty fasteners.
Monroe Quick Struts are Great!!!! April 14, 2010 Erik Stephens (Georgia) I've replaced shocks before back in the day however, I have never replaced struts before. The Monroe Quick Struts are the way to go! On the rear of my vehicle I just un-bolted the old ones, disconnected the brake line, bolted the new ones on, reconnected the brake line, bled the brakes, and then took the vehicle to get an alignment, Done! The rear springs were weak in my car so if 3 or 4 people were in the car the tires would rub if you hit a bump. The Monroe Quick Struts returned the cars rear end back to its original height and solved my problem!!!
Easy install for this complete strut assembly! August 23, 2010 Don Install was easy, bolted right in, and the quality of the ride is fantastic. Much better control than before. It feels so much safer now especially on wet roads.
Great price, slightly different from original equipment August 6, 2010 S. Keeth (Dallas, TX USA) I bought this rear strut assembly for a 2001 Toyota Corolla. Numerous sources on the Internet confirm that this is the correct part for the rear right. However, when installing, I had difficulty getting the upper bolts to line up with the mounting holes, so I compared this part to the original assembly that I had removed. The upper bolts were slightly farther apart on the new part as compared to the original one. My solution was to drill the upper mounting holes to a slightly larger size. The installation then proceeded without any further problems. The new strut assembly appears to be of high quality, and the way my car now rides is much improved. Only time will tell whether this solves the problem of cupping wear on my rear tires.
Monroe Quick Struts April 20, 2009 Dan from MN (Twin Cities, MN) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I do recommend the Monroe Quick struts. I installed the two rear quick struts with a friend and the actual time for the strut install was less than one hour; but, we had a problem with the supplied nuts for the top, not fitting correctly, we couldn't get them tight without loosening the press fit bolts and for some reason, they press fit bolts with round heads, so there is no way to grab them with a wrench to help tighten them; and, we also had to use an air powered wrench to get the nuts off and bolts loose on the old strut assembly; and finally, the brake lines were total pains (even after multiple soaking with liquid wrench and the banging with a wrench, for vibration to help)6 hours total, including brake bleeding-definitely use a tube In fluid for bleeding the lines.
